My wife and I made our 4th wedding anniversary very special. Just through our visit to the “Der Schneider” restaurant! We were lucky enough to be able to taste the wide range of dishes and had a wonderful stay. I can only recommend it! Dortmund can and has 5 star gastronomy!

The tailor gives full throttle !! We were very happy that Phillip Schneider finally reopened his restaurant after the Corona shutdown. Pictures say more than a thousand words - but it's a real shame that you can't capture all of the fine aromas in the photos. Starting with the wonderful and refreshing Amuse Bouches right at the beginning, to the extremely successful starters (the asparagus in the spirit of Nordic cuisine, the mackerel wonderfully matched with fennel, the combination of truffle - potato variations - spinach melts you away), to the Pikeperch, which comes with a perfectly seasoned Verde sauce and beautifully crafted zucchini. The lamb as the main course convinces with a perfect cooking point and sophisticated combinations of beans. The equally successful sweet finish with variations of gooseberry, quark and petit fours rounds off the enjoyment in the menu perfectly and makes the culinary experience an unforgettable evening. Hats off and keep it up!

Absolute recommendation! An evening at the tailor's was always an experience. Due to Corona, we had to wait a long time for a visit, but the wait was worth it. After the restart everything is back to normal and you will be enchanted as usual. The dishes are wonderfully presented and a taste highlight. The staff is more than friendly and extremely competent. A visit is definitely worth it!

Great place with an equally great friendly team with delicious dishes! Not only the exterior is right here, but also the taste! I felt very comfortable there! We wish the Schneider team a full house at all times and that you can get through the Corona crisis with the help of many bookings!

Today I had dinner with two friends and work colleagues at "Der Schneider" and it was an all-round successful experience. The location is designed absolutely perfectly. Everything is right here, from the wall color to the last chair in the store, it is an absolute eye-catcher in terms of style and directly ensures a pleasant sense of well-being. We are restaurateurs ourselves and we really appreciate the work and love that goes into it all. I would like to take this opportunity to report on our evening. The service staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating at all times. You can definitely tell how much they love their job and that they enjoy pampering their guests. With charm and humor, combined with a great deal of expertise in relation to the food and drinks, they made our evening very pleasant and made sure that we felt very comfortable the whole time. The food and the matching wines made the evening a culinary journey like I have seldom experienced. Each component had its own charm, which, combined with the rest, played around and spoiled every sense. Here, too, you can clearly see the attention to detail. Every course is an absolute eye-catcher and it was fun to be convinced of the skills of the crew every lap. Our personal highlight, after reviewing the evening, was definitely a variation of sheep's milk, which in combination with a herbal ice cream was a perfectly rounded intermediate course and almost knocked us all off our feet. Based on the attached pictures, you can see how high the quality is here and how much passion and love Philipp and his crew work with to send every guest home happy and with a smile on their faces. We had this feeling 100% and will definitely be back. At this point I can only say thank you for this wonderful evening!

Sensationally good ... we are so excited. A different kind of food! Thank you for the great hospitality, the sommelier with his vivid explanations for every wine ... I always thought that I didn't like "dry" wines ... he taught me otherwise! A compliment to the kitchen and all the staff ??

It was a great evening again today. Wine, food and service were perfect. And again a perfect evening. Just delicious again. The deer and the 4Gangmenue were perfect. My fiftieth spent here with a fantastic four course meal. 22.3.19 tasted the new menu. It's really class again. 31.10.19 the food is perfect again.

It was a fantastic evening. Organized around perfectly and the guest comes first. From the first step on. The menu is well thought out from A to Z. The food with love and heart prepared, the experience on the tongue unbelievable. We were really fed up with the knowledge ... We will be back. Thousand thanks for the mega evening

Thank you for the excellent evening. We chose the 6-course menu. In advance, the kitchen greeted us with two taste samples. Each course offered us an experience. Whether it was the type of preparation or the unusual preparation, our palates are still in remembrance. Only when finally "sweets" were served, two cakes were easily burnt. Then we drew attention to the service. At this point, we would have expected a remedy to be offered. That was the only downside. Otherwise it was a completely successful evening.

We had a very nice evening with really excellent courses and great service. Mr. Schneider and his team offer a really good overall experience. The food is of a high standard, extremely tasty, even the smallest details offer unexpected taste experiences. The greetings (there are several) from the kitchen and the personal approach by the chef make the experience absolutely round. A very clear recommendation!
